7 Beaufort Brasil sits on the lagoon at Ilha do Guajiru on Brazil's northeast coast (Itarema, Ceará). The flatwater lagoon runs about 5 km long and 700 m wide – warm, standing-depth water where you can work on anything from first runs to freestyle. Want waves? Walk across the sandbank to the open Atlantic.

From mid-June to mid-January the trade winds blow almost daily at over 20 knots. The VDWS kite school teaches to the 7-level standard, with current Core gear and a hotel right on the spot.
