Damnoni Watersports Center

About this spot

Damnoni Watersports Center is set in the sheltered bay of Damnoni on the south coast of Crete, about 5 km from the resort town of Plakias and right next to the Hapimag resort. Station manager Giorgos has run it since 2001. The enclosed bay keeps things safe and easy to oversee, with calm water in the morning and thermal wind building during the day.

It teaches windsurfing and SUP alongside catamaran, waterski and wakeboard. The windsurf beginner course runs 7 hours, VDWS certification is available, and there is a small cat for kids. Gear comes from Starboard, Big and North Sails. Service in German, English and Italian.
