Kite-School-Tours, run by Tobias Althoff, teaches on the Nissum Fjord near Thorsminde on Denmark's west coast – a small harbour town with a large, flat standing area spanning several square kilometres and excellent wind statistics in tide-free shallow water.

The official VDWS kite school works exclusively with VDWS-trained instructors. Beginners learn in groups of four with 20 hours of tuition Monday to Saturday and can earn the VDWS kite licence. Everyone stays together at the campsite right on the fjord – proper camp vibe included.
