The Kiteboarding Club (KBC) teaches on the IJsselmeer around Hindeloopen in Friesland, with the spots Workum and Mirns close by. The IJsselmeer is one of the windiest inland waters in Northern Europe and offers huge flat-water areas across some 1,100 square kilometres, with a hip-deep standing area that is perfect for safe learning. The team picks the best and least crowded of its spots depending on the wind direction.
The school teaches kitesurfing, wingfoiling and windsurfing plus SUP, from beginner courses and camps through private lessons to kids' courses from age 8. Lessons run in German, Dutch, English and other languages on F-ONE gear, and the station is VDWS-certified. The base is at Camping Hindeloopen.
