KiteFEEL has been on the wide, shallow beach of Schellinkhout on the IJsselmeer in North Holland since 2005. The fresh water here is shallow and tide-independent, ideal for first kite sessions. Teaching follows the VDWS standard, usually in pairs with a maximum of two students per instructor, gear and wetsuit included.

The school is run by Sven Luijbe and his team. KiteFEEL is the only permanent licensed kite school in Schellinkhout and has its own surf centre with warm changing rooms, a lounge and free hot showers. They ride current Flysurfer gear; when the wind direction is wrong, lessons move to Medemblik.
