Fly-a-Kite kites on the Wieker Bodden near Altenkirchen in the north of Rügen (Zittkower Weg 27). The Bodden here is shallow and standing-depth - you stay on your feet while learning kite and board handling, no waves, no tide. A dependable place to learn.
The school has run since 2003 and is a recognised VDWS kite school using the VDWS SafetyTool. From taster sessions and intensive beginner courses to advanced, Air & Style, supervised kiting and kite-foil, it is all here, usually with a maximum of two students per instructor. Their rule: no wind, no course, no payment. Gear is by Harlem, plus SUP and a cocktail bar on site.
