La Chiappa sits out by the lighthouse cape near Porto-Vecchio in southern Corsica, about 15 minutes from town and right on the Mediterranean. The bay is flat and forgiving, perfect for your first runs on the board. Windsurfing is the core, plus catamaran, Optimist, SUP, water-ski, wakeboard and kayak. Rental covers every discipline, and the crew speaks German, English, French and Italian.
La Chiappa was the very first VDWS surf school back in 1974, and instructors teach to internationally recognised VDWS standards. Gear comes from Mistral, Fanatic, North, Gun Sails and Neil Pryde, with Hobie catamarans and Lasers. Open daily May through October.
