Lifetime Sport sits on the Veluwemeer near Elburg, the shallow inland lake behind the dyke that has long been a relaxed place to learn. Lessons have run here since 1981: windsurfing, kitesurfing and SUP, plus catamaran and dinghy sailing and kayaking. The waist-deep, calm water takes the pressure off beginners, and the wind rolls in fairly reliably off the IJsselmeer.
The school teaches to VDWS standards and runs weekend and holiday courses for kids and adults, alongside school trips and instructor training. Tuition is in German, Dutch and English.
