About this spot
Mainpeak is located at Foz do Minho, the mouth of the Rio Minho near Caminha in northern Portugal – on the border with Galicia. The focus is wingfoiling, alongside windsurfing plus surf and SUP. The flatwater lagoon at the river mouth is shallow, making it a forgiving place for first attempts, while more wind and swell wait further out.
Lessons are run by VDWS-licensed instructors in a three-step wing progression (wing session, wing with longboard, wing-foil), from beginner to advanced rider. Riding is on Duotone, ION and Fanatic gear. A calm, nature-close alternative to the crowded spots further south.
