Mint Kiteboarding, run by Felix Federl, is based in Malcesine on Lake Garda, on Via Gardesana at the Windsquare watersports centre. You kite when the lake's thermal winds kick in, and the school works with radio helmets and a boat that drops you on the water and brings you back. Lessons run from beginner kite courses through improvers to coaching for advanced riders and kitefoil. Teaching is in German and English, VDWS-certified with a structured method. The season runs May to October, with a kite camp in Brazil in November.
