NorthWest Kiteboarding has its home spots at Makkum - Kornwerderzand on the Frisian IJsselmeer coast, backed up by the North Sea coast. The IJsselmeer offers flat, standing-depth water for safe learning, the North Sea proper swell when you want it.
The focus is kitesurfing, with kite foiling, wing foiling and SUP alongside. Everything from beginner and follow-up courses to wave clinics and the kite licence is on offer. The school has run for over 20 years and is VDWS-international and Royal Dutch Watersport Association approved. It works with Duotone, ION and Flysurfer. Languages: Dutch, German, English.
