Segelschule im-jaich is part of the Wasserferienwelt in Lauterbach near Putbus, in the South-East Rügen biosphere reserve, across from the Vilm nature reserve island. The station sits in a small bay on the Bodden - calm, sheltered water, ideal for first steps under sail.
The basic course covers theory and practice on the AIRA 22: mooring, tacking, jibing, man-overboard, right-of-way rules and capsize drills. The adult course starts at age 14, and children from 7 can learn to sail too. Around the marina you will find boat rental, a restaurant and a harbour kiosk.
