St. Leoner See, the lake between Heidelberg and Mannheim, is flat, still freshwater – the kind of spot that makes learning to windsurf straightforward. Surf + SUP Center teaches windsurfing here in VDWS beginner courses and runs a full SUP programme on top: lessons for beginners and advanced paddlers, SUP yoga and events. Rental and demo gear comes from Fanatic, Mistral, Tabou and Infinity among others, and the centre works as a SUP test centre with current boards. No surf, no current – just calm water to drill technique close to home.
