Wassersport Charchulla is one of the old hands on Fehmarn: founded in 1975, with its main base at Südstrand in Burgtiefe and a second station at Strukkamphuk. It all happens on the Baltic, with no real tide to worry about. The programme covers windsurfing, kiting, sailing, SUP and wing foiling.

Courses run from taster sessions through basic courses to intensive courses, plus windsurfing for kids from age eight and Opti sailing. The instructor team is VDWS-certified. The business is run by the Charchulla family; the site also has rental, a surf shop and a surf museum.
