Westufer water sports school runs its station on Kemnader See in Bochum (Bootshallen Gibraltar, Oveneystraße 71). This shallow reservoir in the heart of the Ruhr region is low-current freshwater and an easy-to-reach practice spot on your doorstep. It teaches SUP, windsurfing, longboarding and wingfoiling. The programme ranges from SUP and windsurf lessons through SUP polo, SUP fitness and kids' camps to dog-friendly paddle sessions. The school is VDWS-certified (QAW), with gear from JP Australia and Mistral among others. The season runs 1 April to 15 October.
