The Windsurfing Club Angermund e.V. runs its scene on the Angermunder See in the north of Düsseldorf. This is a flat freshwater lake with no waves and no current – exactly the kind of spot where you nail your first tacks and jibes without any drama. The club's surf school teaches windsurfing over weekend courses with around ten hours of theory and practice, finishing with the VDWS windsurfing licence exam. During the summer holidays the club runs camps for kids and teens aged 10 to 15, mixing windsurfing with SUP and other activities.

Tuition follows VDWS standards, and the licence is recognised internationally.
