UMMAII sits on the island of Ummanz in western Rügen, in the middle of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft national park, right next to one of Germany's largest standing-depth areas. The flat Bodden water suits beginners and is just as good for drilling jibes and first freestyle moves. Windsurf and kite courses have run here since 1994, alongside wingsurfing and SUP. The programme runs from basic courses through weekend and intermediate lessons to a five-day camp, finishing with the VDWS certificate. You can stay on site at the surf hostel or in tiny houses. Kiting takes place in the marked zone off Suhrendorf.
