De Silva's is in the Kalpitiya region of northwest Sri Lanka, right on the shallow Kalpitiya Lagoon with access to the Indian Ocean. The waist-deep flatwater of the lagoon is ideal for learning, and the reliable monsoon trade wind blows from May to October.
Lessons cover kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling and SUP, VDWS certified and taught in German, English and French. Gear comes from North Kiteboarding and Mystic. The school was founded in 2009 by Upul De Silva, multiple Sri Lankan windsurfing champion and 2006 Asian Games competitor. It won the Sri Lanka Tourism Award for best water sports center in 2018 and 2024.
