Funmüritz is based at the Stille Bucht in Waren on the northern shore of the Müritz, Germany's largest inland lake. From its lakeside terrace you step straight onto flat freshwater – a forgiving area for your first runs. It teaches windsurfing and SUP, plus catamaran and dinghy sailing, canoeing and wing surfing, each at beginner and advanced level and in deliberately small groups. Surf licences are available. Funmüritz is VDWS-certified; the Kamerun campsite and motorhome park is right next door, and the shop stocks SUP boards, wetsuits and its own fair-trade clothing.
