Juist Kite is at the Schoolpad beach access on the car-free North Sea island of Juist, right next to Steimer's beach bar. The island lies in the East Frisian Wadden Sea, a tidal spot: around high water shallow water forms along the wide sandy beach, and the wind here is reliable.
The school teaches kitesurfing in 2:1 and 1:1 formats as well as private lessons. After the course you have the basics down and can rent gear to practise on your own. To join you need to be at least 15 and weigh around 50 kilos, and you must be a confident swimmer. The school is usually open from May to October. Juist Kite is VDWS-certified and carries the QAW seal.
