Kite Fun (KITEFUN AG) has been running since 2005 and teaches on the Urnersee at Isleten, the southern arm of Lake Lucerne about 45 minutes from Lucerne. Isleten is the only officially sanctioned kite spot on the lake. The wind is either thermal (2-4 Beaufort on sunny days) or the strong, warm Föhn (6-9 Beaufort). The season runs June to September, with boat-based lessons in small groups of up to four. Training follows the VDWS system with the option to certify. Alongside kitesurfing there is foil kiting and snowkiting in the Engadin.
