Kite Village is in Hamata, far in the south of Egypt, away from the busy Hurghada crowds. The spot scores with a large standing area in waist-deep water and a steady side-shore trade wind – the combination that keeps learning relaxed and still leaves room for advanced riders.

It offers kite courses from a 12-hour beginner course through crash and refresher courses to private lessons; SUP is available too. Rental and repair are on site, with gear from the likes of Cabrinha, Duotone and Flysurfer (VDWS, ION). A European and Egyptian team, plus hotel and camp options for longer trips to the quiet south.
