Kitelagune kites at Lo Stagnone near Marsala on the west coast of Sicily – the largest shallow-water lagoon in Europe. Standing-depth water plus the northwesterly Mistral and thermal winds make this one of the most relaxed places there is to learn kiting.
The VDWS-licensed school has run since 2015 under Austrian operator Marian. There are taster courses from 90 euros, beginner and advanced courses and private lessons, plus wingfoil and foil. Riders use gear from Duotone, Flysurfer and Ion. On site there's a bar, showers and parking, including for campers. Instruction in German, Italian and English.
