Kiteschule Kiel is based in Laboe on the Kieler Förde and has been teaching kitesurfing here since 2003. You learn in the flat, tide-free Baltic water of the fjord, which stays predictable enough for your first hours on the kite. The programme runs from a two-hour taster session through the two-day beginner course and the intensive course to private lessons for more advanced riders. As a VDWS kite school the tuition follows a recognised standard, and there are also kite camps in Denmark and Egypt.
