KitesurfingKos teaches at several spots in the north of Kos: Mastichari, Marmari and Kohilari. Mastichari Bay delivers clean side or onshore wind whenever there is north or west wind, making it ideal for beginners and intermediates; Kohilari is shallow water, and Marmari has the strongest wind on the island thanks to the jet effect of the islands, where the northwest Meltemi accelerates to 4.5-6 Beaufort. Kiting is the core; in Marmari wingfoiling, windsurfing and SUP are added. The teams coach to VDWS standard and issue internationally valid VDWS licences. Gear: Naish, Cabrinha, SU-2, plus Ensis, Fanatic and Flysurfer for wing. Handy extras: the motorboat-backed "Luv Taxi" and a spot shuttle. Languages: German and English.
