Ostwind Segelsport has been training on the Hohwacht Bay on the Baltic since 1985. The sheltered bay, with its large standing area, steady wind and plenty of space, is a good place to try a new sport or sharpen existing skills. There's also a charter base in Kiel-Friedrichsort.
The school teaches windsurfing, wingsurfing (since 2021), SUP and dinghy, catamaran and yacht sailing. On top of that come exam-oriented intensive courses for sailing and powerboat licences, the coastal skipper certificate and radio certificates, plus kids' sailing. On the water you'll find Hobie Cat catamarans and Laser dinghies, among others. The school is a member of the VDWS, VDS, DMYV and DSV.
