ProBoarding Rügen runs its water sports station on the Greifswalder Bodden, between Thiessow and Klein Zicker on the Mönchgut peninsula. The shallow Bodden is a proper standing-depth spot - flat water that makes it straightforward to pick up kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling or SUP. Lessons run with VDWS-licensed instructors, and kite groups stay small at a maximum of four students per coach. It is about a 300-metre walk from the Klein Zicker car park to the beach base. Rental gear comes from brands like Core, Eleveight, Duotone, ION and Fanatic. ProBoarding is a partner of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve and operates from April to October.
