Segelschule Godewind sits on the Dümmer in Lower Saxony, the state's second-largest lake, set within a nature reserve. With bases in Dümmerlohausen and Hüde, it is one of the largest schools on the lake. The shallow depth of around 1.3 metres makes the Dümmer a safe area for watersport.
Stand-up paddling is a fixed part of the offer, for years also for school groups; SUP boards can be rented by the hour. Add sailing courses for Optimist, dinghy and catamaran, plus boat licences. The school holds VDWS and QAW certification. The rental fleet also includes canoes, kayaks and rowing boats.
