Run by owner Uwe Schubert, Segelschule Hering is based in Berlin-Steglitz with its own harbour and boathouse on the River Havel. With more than 50 years of experience it is one of the city's established watersports addresses and a member of both the VDWS and the German Sailing Association (DSV).
The Havel, with its broad, calm chain of lakes, is a classic Berlin training ground. The programme runs from taster courses and kids' sailing to advanced licences, practised on the school's own fleet of dinghies and motorboats.
