The surf and sailing school at the Großes Meer is in Südbrookmerland in East Frisia. The Großes Meer is the region's largest inland lake – around 289 hectares, roughly one metre deep across the whole surface, so you can stand everywhere. Exactly the spot to focus on technique without deep water under you. Motorboats aren't allowed.
The school teaches windsurfing, wing surfing, SUP and sailing. The beginner course ends with the VDWS basic licence, and there's private coaching for targeted progress. Gear is available to rent; the owner is Christian Bekker. The school is a VDWS member.
