Surfschule Leipzig is set on the Störmthaler See southeast of Leipzig, meeting point at Grunaer Weg in Dreiskau-Muckern. The lake is a flooded former opencast mine – flat freshwater with a wide, calm beach section that is dependable for your first gybes. Owner and instructor Uwe Bauer teaches from June to September, running windsurf courses from the 2x4-hour basics to one-on-one VIP sessions, plus wing surfing and SUP. Students range from about 14 to well past 70. Surfschule Leipzig is VDWS-certified, so tuition is fully licensed.
