The Surf Company teaches in Wilhelmshaven at the Banter See, a shallow lake just behind the North Sea coast. The standing-depth, sheltered water takes the pressure off beginners – a calm learning spot with no tide and no waves.
On offer are windsurf taster and beginner courses, kids' courses, weekend and holiday courses, plus SUP. You can sit the VDWS basic licence including the exam. Gear for every level is available to rent, and there's a small surf shop. The school is a VDWS member.
