The water sports centre of the University of Potsdam's sports programme is on Hermannswerder on the Templiner See, in a calm bay away from the Havel shipping lane. Windsurfing is taught on the lake from scratch in theory and practice, and you can take the VDWS basic windsurfing licence here. There's also SUP plus a small fleet of sailboats, kayaks, canoes and dragon boats for beginners and advanced users. Little boat traffic and plenty of space make the bay a good training area. The offering is aimed at students and university members.
