About this spot
Westend Surfing is based in Utersum on the North Sea island of Föhr, right in the Wadden Sea. With the tides the spot shifts between open water and shallow tidal channels and flats – the right water depending on discipline and tide.
The school teaches kiting (private lessons only), plus windsurfing, wing foiling, kite foiling and SUP. The season runs April to September. Rule of thumb at the spot: under twelve knots it's SUP weather, kiting needs at least twelve knots. Your contact and instructor is Ben.
