About this spot
The Utersum station of Windsurfing Föhr lies on the island's dog beach, with views across to Amrum and Sylt. Föhr sits in the middle of the North Frisian Wadden Sea, a strongly tidal spot: around high water there is shallow water ready for learning, and the wind here is reliable. The Utersum station opens seasonally in July and August.
The school teaches windsurfing, kitesurfing and SUP, plus catamaran and Optimist sailing. Beginners and advanced riders both find suitable courses, and rental gear is available. Windsurfing Föhr works to VDWS standards.
