About this spot
Châtelaillon-Plage is a kitesurf and wingfoil spot in France. 3 km long beach about 10 km south of La Rochelle, with a view of Fort Boyard. Kiting only in the off-season or after bathing hours, in the southern part of the beach in front of the dike. Small choppy waves, bigger waves with more wind.
The spot works best with wind from W, SW, NW; the windiest period is Sep–Jun. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits beginners and intermediates.
