About this spot
Falkenberg – Olofsbo is a kitesurf and windsurf spot in Sweden. Large, open bay with a long sandy beach north of Falkenberg. According to the municipality, one of the few spots in Halland that work in SE wind. The beach drops off quickly into deeper water, where the chop is greatest. About 20 km south of Varberg; in the north there are ramps for jumping over a reef, popular with freestylers. Toilets and showers on the beach, campsite about 900 m away.
The spot works best with wind from S, SE, SW; the windiest period is May–Sep. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
