About this spot
Figari – Baie de Figari is a kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot in France. According to a local guide, the kite spot in Corsica best suited to beginners. Station Eole Figari on the edge of the Bouches de Bonifacio nature reserve, open from April to the end of November. Access via the track to the end of Figari harbour, park in the last car park on the right. Thermal wind boosted by the venturi effect between Corsica and Sardinia.
The spot works best with wind from W, SW, NW; the windiest period is Apr–Nov. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners, intermediates and advanced riders.
