Golden Bay is a kitesurf and surf spot in Malta. Golden Bay on the north-west coast gets W swell; in winter storms powerful waves roll in. The beach drops off quickly into deep water; the spot is for experienced wave kiters. Kiting is completely banned here in summer.
The spot works best with wind from W, NW; the windiest period is Oct–Apr. Depending on the swell there are waves. It suits advanced riders.
