About this spot

Lyngdal – Kvavik (Kvåviksanden) is a kitesurf spot in Norway. Very gently sloping flat-water spot, one of the home spots of the Sørkite kite school. Between the two offshore islands usually mirror-flat, choppy further out; the sandbanks change constantly. The wind is created by a venturi effect: SW–NW at Lista/Lindesnes Fyr gives S–WSW at the spot. Large car parks and public toilet.

The spot works best with wind from S, SW; the windiest period is May–Sep. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners and intermediates.
