About this spot
Lake Mondsee – Scharfling is a windsurf spot in Austria. Scharfling on the south side of the Mondsee, just before the tunnel, is considered the best windsurfing spot on the lake. Parking is available for a small fee; riders head towards the middle of the lake, and near the gallery the wind is sometimes stronger.
The spot works best with wind from W, NW; the windiest period is Apr–Oct. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
