About this spot

Paracas – Santo Domingo (Kite Point) is a kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot in Peru. The main spot is the Santo Domingo bay (“Kite Point”) south of the golf course on the edge of the Paracas National Reserve. The peninsula shields the bay from the cold ocean water and the waves – flatter, warmer water for all levels. The wind usually picks up around midday and blows until sunset; high season September to May, peak December to March. A kite school operates on the edge of the reserve.

The spot works best with wind from S, SW; the windiest period is Sep–Apr. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners, intermediates and advanced riders.
