About this spot
Manta – Santa Marianita is a kitesurf and wingfoil spot in Ecuador. Santa Marianita lies 20–30 minutes south of Manta; several schools offer kite, surf and wing lessons right on the beach. The wind is favourable on most days, especially from May to December. Restaurants and holiday resorts came to the village along with the kite schools.
The spot works best with wind from SW, W; the windiest period is May–Dec. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits beginners, intermediates and advanced riders.
