Plaka Watersports is set on the long sandy Plaka beach on the west coast of Naxos, one of the best windsurf areas in the Cyclades. In high summer, especially July and August, the north Meltemi pushes across the flat bay, and the wide sandy shallows make for an easy, clean launch.
It teaches windsurfing for all levels, with an 8-hour VDWS basic course. There are lightweight rigs for kids, and the team rents sails from beginner to advanced sizes. SUP and other watersports round it out, plus a bar-restaurant right at the spot. The station has worked this beach for over a decade.
