Surfcenter Leipzig is based in the Zöbigker harbour (Pier 1) on the Cospudener See in Markkleeberg, just south of Leipzig. The "Cossi" is a flooded former mine – flat freshwater with a summer thermal, meaning short walks to the water and forgiving conditions for learning. It offers windsurfing, wing foiling, SUP and catamaran sailing as group or private lessons, plus VDWS basic licences, catamaran tickets and kids' holiday camps. The season runs April to October. Surfcenter Leipzig is VDWS-certified and runs its own shop for boards, sails and wetsuits.
