About this spot
Abbekås – Mossbystrand is a kitesurf, wingfoil, windsurf and surf spot in Sweden. Beach by the fishing village of Abbekås, about 15 km west of Ystad. Best sideshore conditions in E wind (often boosted by thermals), good waves in SW as well. Mostly waves of 1–1.5 m, on good days up to 2.5 m; good for wave beginners. Large car park right at the beach.
The spot works best with wind from E, SE, S, SW; the windiest period is Apr–Oct. Depending on the swell there are waves. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
