Bora Bora – Pointe Matira is a kitesurf spot in French Polynesia. Matira beach is sheltered from the wind; only at the southern tip of Pointe Matira does the wind pick up. Wide lagoon with few kiters; a kite school with an IKO instructor offers lessons and downwinders by boat.
The spot works best with wind from E, SE; the windiest period is Jun–Oct. The water is mostly flat. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
