About this spot

Dar Bouazza – Oued Merzeg is a kitesurf spot in Morocco. Large sandy beach at a river mouth, about 30 minutes south of Casablanca, with plenty of space to set up. In spring steady wind from NE to NW (kites around 9–12 m²). In winter gusty southerly fronts bring cross-shore waves. On windy weekends there are 10–15 kites on the water. Further south lies Dar Kouch, with a small launch area at high tide.

The spot works best with wind from NE, N, NW, SW (Winterfronten); the windiest period is Mar–Jun. Depending on the wind you get flat water, chop or waves. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
