Fortaleza – Praia do Futuro is a kitesurf spot in Brazil. Praia do Futuro is one of the most used kite beaches in Fortaleza; the strong wind season begins in August. A municipal decree allows kiting only in designated sections (including between Rua Germiniano Jurema and Rua José Cláudio Gurgel Costa Lima and between Rua Francisco Moreira and Rua Júlio Silva). Kiting at Praia do Futuro is banned by decree on Sundays and public holidays. A beach bar serves as a meeting point for kiters.
The spot works best with wind from E, SE; the windiest period is Aug–Dec. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
