About this spot
Holbox – Playa Las Nubes is a kitesurf and wingfoil spot in Mexico. Playa Las Nubes (Kite Beach) is about seven minutes by golf cart from Holbox village and is the main spot for beginners. The lagoon is standing depth throughout the lesson area. Main season November to May, most consistent from December to February with northerly fronts (15–30 knots); unsettled in August. Punta Mosquito can only be reached by boat and is for advanced riders; IKO schools on the island.
The spot works best with wind from N, NE, E; the windiest period is Nov–May. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners and intermediates.
